Indigofera Selvage Denim Apron

Ditch the lame "#1 Cook" cover and don something more stylish for your holiday cooking with theIndigofera Selvage Denim Apron ($115). Made from unwashed selvage denim and sporting white straps and featuring a large torso pocket with a separate utensil slot, and a lower, hip-level pocket, it's a great way to keep from looking dorky while protecting your clothes from errant splashes and spills.

Imperial Duke

I have been wearing this jeans for couple of months now (but not everyday). It is really nice denim brand from Australia but the denim imported from Japan. Imperial Duke have low yoke with comfortable 14.5 ounce denim and the construction of this jeans are a bit different from normal vintage/re-pro jeans. The back pockets also have awesome golden wings which I really like it.

Evisu No.2 - Lot 2000

This is one of my favourite denim brand "Evisu", especially Japanese's Evisu. I bought this pair of jeans about a year ago, but the character of the denim shows so quickly, even though I wore them sparingly. This one has black painted seagulls on the back pockets and yellow and dark green selvaged "Tiger selvaged". I own many pairs of Evisu jeans and I think they are worth every cent.

Road Trip to 12 Apostles - Part2

Almost 5,000 kms later, my wife and I made safe trip back home in Brisbane. It was a pretty amazing trip, see many different landscapes, towns, animals, shopping and friends. Our destination was Apollo Bay in Victoria, it was a pretty little beach town and we got lucky with our accommodation were upgraded to a nice penthouse. we drove about an hour to the 12 Apostles from Apollo Bay on the next day. The 12 Apostles were so amazing and now, there are only 7 left.

The drive was fun on the way to the south, so many things to see and the Great Ocean road was really fun and beautiful scenery to drive. Also we loved Canberra, some people thought its boring town. There were so much to do in this capital city of Australia, museums, art galleries, war memorial and beautiful food too.

Road Trip to 12 Apostles

My wife and I are going on a road trip this Sunday, we will drive along the east coast of Australia from Brisbane. Our destination will be 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean road in Victoria, this is going to be quite interesting and exciting because we have never driven this far before (at least 5,000kms). We will stop in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and some small towns. There are some essential items I will be taken with me with this trip:

• 2 pair for jeans Samurai s710 and A.P.C. NS
• Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 camera (I don't want to carry my big DSLR camera)
• Sneakers Vans and Generic Surplus Chuka
• GPS for telling us where to go
• iPhone to keep in touch with the world and I could update my blog too
• iPod with an awesome tunes

I will write more about our trip when I come back the road trip. To Be Continued...

A.P.C. New Standard

This is sort of the cheapest hi-end premium jeans you can get. My boss, Steve bought a pair from New york A.P.C. store for me. A.P.C. NS have slim modern cut but not skinny unless you size down 3-4 from the tag, the jeans come in vanity size, so you should size down from your true waist at least 1 or 2. The denim is quite soft and thin, good for summer!

Samurai S710XX 19oz

This is the heaviest and thickest a pair of jeans I own, Samurai S710 come in a mid rise slim tapered leg with heavy 19oz denim. The indigo dyed warp threads are that of size #5 while the weft yarns are that of size #4 creating a smooth finish on the underside of the denim while the face side remains rigid. The selvage contains only a single strand of silver lame symbolizing the sword which the samurai possesses. This is also known as "Sword Selvage".

Can't wait to see the fade.

Beautiful Denim

Sword Selvage

The rivets are made of copper with the underside of the front rivets reading サムライ "Samurai" while the underside of the back rivets read 諸行無常 "Shogyo Mujo".

Fits photo.

This YouTube is pretty funny and right on the spot of being a Graphic Designer. If you are working in Marketing or the client side you may not find this YouTube is funny at all.

Nudie RRD - Shorts Version

I have owned this Nudie Regular Ralf Dry selvage for a couple of years now and when I bought the jeans, they were on sale and was a bit too big for me. The jeans have stretched so much since then, so I decided to cut the legs off. Now I can wear this jeans in summer time!!!

LVC 1933 501XX

I bought this pair of Levi's 1933 501 in Berlin while I was backpacking in Europe with my lovely wife back in 2006. I pretty much wore it everyday while we were travelling. I swapped it time to time with my other pair of Levi's 501 STF. I retired this pair of jeans last year and got Edwin Nashville instead.

Some of the pictures with this jeans when I was travelling.

With my friend 'Kate' in Amsterdam.

Information on the Levi's 1933 501XX (Thanks to Paul T from Superfuture.com)

1933 501Like its close cousin, the 20s 201, the 1933 501 has belt loops AND a cinch, plus the suspender buttons. Again, these have the widest leg of any 501 jean, reflecting fashions in the 30s. Note also that these have a more lemon-coloured stitching. The denim now carries a red selvage line, which denotes that it is made by Cone, for Levi's (Cone still makes all the reline selvage for LVC to date).

Pockets: 5 (two back pockets), rear pockets are the last to feature visible rivets.

Rivets: read "LS&Co SF"

Belt Patch; Two horse design, which now has the size printed on.

Arcuates; vary widely on originals, single needle, hand done.

Cut of LVC version: a more shape backside, with wide legs. Like all the earlier jeans, the 1933 are made slightly oversize. I would buy actual size in these; they will be one inch larger than the tag (2009 sizing) and will still be fairly generously sized aorund the thighs etc.
